Pollyanna Disconnect

With all the controversy swirling around Nadya Suleman, even TV shrinks want to get in on the act. Dr. Phil says, "I see somebody that has such a Pollyanna disconnect with real-world realities, and what she’s getting ready to face, it’s like she’s on a Disney ride." Dr. Phil has a good point, pollyanna disconnect is a good term to describe Nadya Suleman, besides wacko is so unnecessarily harsh. Pollyanna disconnect would describe someone who doesn't seem to have a good grip on reality.

Evidence that you may suffer from a pollyanna disconnect:

1. You are going to college to be a counselor, but your own life is unmanageable.

2. You already have six kids you can't afford, but feel it's important to have eight more.

3. You take the $50,000 you could have used to pay off your school loans and buy sperm injections instead.

3. You don't have a job, live with your parents, and are collecting welfare.

4. You lie on national television and say you are not receiving government assistance.

5. You find it shocking that strangers do not want to pay for all this.
